    Blu Ray off centre


    Hi, I'm having a display problem when using DVD or Blu-ray discs.but it appears to be off centre. the console is about 3 years old and is by standard Xbox one 1Tb was purchased very near release of Fallout Four. Can someone please help me?

    Blu Ray Zoomed In and Off Centre Image

    Hi there,

    I have recently bought a new LG 55 inch OLED TV and hooked up my Xbox One as usual. The image is absolutely fine when on the dashboard or on games, however when trying to watch a DVD on the Blu Ray Player app the image is now zoomed in and off centre, cutting
    a large part of the image off. I have tried changing the aspect ratio of the tv and looked into the Xbox display settings but cannot find a way to fix this, any tips??

    Next Xbox 'Will not include Optical Drive' - Well thats me out!

    It is only rumour, a source last month said it would have blu-ray.... take it with a pinch of salt.

    .

    There is still a year or two left to build the thing, depending on which rumour you want to believe. The SD card thing may be for games, as Blu-ray is slow for streaming off, probably too slow for next-gen graphics so will need a better solution.

    .

    This isn't a reason it won't have blu-ray too, after all MS want the console to be the centre of home entertainment.

    Disc on the wrong side...

    No issues for me except for getting the blu-rays out, even pressing the centre in, it still feels like you're going to snap the disk getting it out :O)

    I would say your best option is to send the console in for repair trough the online service and warranty centre, Any banging/knocking noises like that are a hardware failure, Either blu ray drive or the fan.

    Blu-ray is fast enough to run a game off the disc. A 4x blu-ray drive has a faster data transfer rate than a DVD drive running at 12x.

    The difference is that a blu-ray drive runs at a constant speed, it will always run at 4x (in this example). So while you can run a game off a blu-ray it isn't an ideal situation.

    Plus hard drives are always going to be quicker than optical drives.
