    Blu-ray n longer working after update


    Xbox One update seems to have crashed my blu ray player. I am receiving error code 0x91d70000 with all of my dvd and blu ray movies. Tried to trouble shoot, tried switching to Energy Saver mode, tried uninstall/reinstall but no luck. Anyone else experience
    this?

    Microsoft... why did you kill the blu ray player?

    ever since the update was downloaded to my xbox the blu ray no longer works

    Microsoft... you need to really spend time researching stuff before releasing worthless updates that kill the blu ray drive.

    Blu-ray player needs an update error when trying to play Victor Frankenstein blu-ray disc

    Has anyone else had issues trying to play the Victor Frankenstein blu-ray disc on their One? Got it the other day from Netflix, and it gets to an error screen after a long delay each time stating my blu-ray player needs an update. Seems like MS is getting
    lax in making sure their updates are including the updated firmware for new movies? Does anyone have a work around for this? I've tried turning off Blu-ray Live update, full reset, etc. Nothing works.

    xbox one march 2017 system update is a problem.

    With the new update my Xbox One no longer reads Blu-Ray discs..
    Works for me.

    Factory reset doesn’t work

    I found out what the actual issue is. The problem is with the blu ray drive. Looks like the update corrupted the firmware so the drive no longer works.

    Blu Ray Problem: Cannot play Game of Thrones Season 3

    The latest update did not fix the playback issue with Game of Thrones Season 3 on Blu-Ray.

    Some users may encounter the error that was causing the Xbox to not read the disc, again, even after updating the Blu-Ray player app.

    To work around this, fire up the Blu-Ray app with no disc in your Xbox.

    You'll be prompted that there is no disc in your drive.

    Insert Game of Thrones season 3 blu-ray into your drive.

    Viola, and enjoy.

    Fix the blu ray player app, PLEASE!

    that only partially works. what needs to be done, which is what I did....

    delete blu ray player app. delete/uninstall the last game and updates that you downloaded.

    do the steps above.

    make sure to use a disc to REINSTALL your game FIRST. this will force the disc drive to recognize blu rays again.

    then try to play a blu ray movie.

    should work after that. did for me, anyway
