    Blu-ray movies will not play.


    Every single Blu-ray movie I insert into the Xbox One I get the message to "Eject the disc and make sure to insert an Xbox One, DVD or Blu-ray disc." DVDs work just fine, and Xbox One games occasionally get the same message, but re-inserting them usually
    fixes the problems.

    I have done everything that was in this thread: Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened.

    but still nothing works.

    Will I have to send in my Xbox to get repaired?

    About the blu ray player....

    does anyone know how fast the blu ray player will boot up blu ray movies? just wondering because it takes nearly a minute to load up newer blu ray movies now

    Things that NEED FIXING with XBOX ONE...ASAP

    Can we get mass game clip delete, Also need much better Blu-Ray type recognition on Xbox One, there are quite a few Blu Ray movies that the Xbox One just will not play or recognize, the XB1 dose not play home movies save to Blu Ray media and this needs to
    be addressed, our PS4 can do it well on all Blu-Ray formats. The XB1 does a superb job with most any type of DVD's.

    XBox does not recognize any Blu Ray disc movie. I tried other Blu Ray discs and they didn't work too. But when I insert a 4K movie, it plays.

    Hi,

    Sounds like the laser in your console's Blu-ray drive has a hardware issue.

    To test if your Xbox One X has issues reading discs, try playing a DVD movie disc. If can't read DVD movie discs either then your console has a hardware fault.

    Note: It must be a DVD movie disc, not a Blu-ray movie disc.

    There are two lasers in the Blu-ray drive, one for reading Blu-ray discs and one for DVD discs. Xbox One games use Blu-ray and the 360 console used a DVD drive.
