    Blu-Ray "Installation stopped"


    My blu-Ray has been working great. I started up the console the other day, and suddenly it won't work, with the message "installation stopped". I uninstalled the blu-Ray app and tried reinstalling it. It downloads to 100%, then says "installation stopped".
    I did a factory reset, tried again, and again the same message. This is insane. What can I do to fix this?

    Blu Ray player app will not install on XB1X

    Repeatedly getting the "installation stopped" error when trying to update the Blu Ray player app. Begins to download, stops, and gives me the notification that the installation has stopped. I've uninstalled and tried to reinstall the app to no avail. Everything
    else is working properly, and I have a stable 220+ mb/s connection. In about 5 minutes the console downloaded a 7.21 GB update for Far Cry 5, so the internet is connecting properly. The Blu Ray app won't even load in the Microsoft store. I finally got the
    error code, 0x080073cfe, but there is no reference for that in the help section. What gives microsoft, it's an Xbox One X that I've had for less than 6 months.

    I can provide you with some basic tips so long.

    Set up and install the Blu-ray and DVD player app on Xbox

    To watch Blu-ray or DVD movies on your Xbox console, you first need to install the Blu-ray Player app. To install the app, choose one of the following options.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide, select Home, and then select Store.

    Select Search and enter Blu-ray in the search bar. Select the Blu-ray Player app when it appears in the list of results.

    Select Install to download and install the app.

    Insert a Blu-ray or DVD disc into your Xbox.

    Select the Blu-ray Player app when it appears.

    On the Blu-ray Player app details page, select Install.

    Your disc should start playing automatically.

    After the app is installed, you can watch Blu-ray or DVD movies by inserting the disc into your Xbox console and selecting Blu-ray Player on the Home screen, or by finding it under My games & apps

    Try inserting a Blu Ray disk and see if it prompts you to install the Blu Ray app.

    I just tried uninstalling and re-installing. It did not work for me. I decided to test a few more DVDs and Blu-ray discs. All of the DVDs and Blu-Rays I've tried have this problem.

    I'm fairly confident in saying this issue started when HDMI-Auto detect stopped working.

    Is the disc a blu ray ? I read you need to install a blu ray app from the online store.

    Xbox One issue

    Maybe it has something to do with the Blu-Ray app. Try removing the Blu-Ray app and re-installing.
