Blu-Ray Freezing

My Xbox is freezing while Playing The Hobbit Desolation of Smaug. It freezes twice during the movie at the same spots. I have rewind and skip the parts. It is a brand new disc also i switched it out from walmart and still it freezes in the same spot.

Problem with Blue-Ray app

Clearing the cache seems to work. I've just gotten in the habit of only buying blu-rays with digital versions bundled.

I've had perfectly clean disks skip, buffer, and totally freeze on WAY too many occasions.

 

Freezing Game

It's a PS3 thing and unrelated to the game itself.

I experience freezing with everything except Blu Ray playback since the most recent update.

 

Try heading to Settings>Disc & Blue-Ray and then Clear Persistant Storage then restart the console by holding the power button for 10 seconds until it shuts down. See if that helps the issue.
