Blu-Ray freezing for a second.

Hi forum users =)

I'm getting a little frustrated with my Xbox One, while watching blu ray movies I'm finding that the films will randomly freeze for a second & occasionally stutters! Is this a problem anyone else has encountered? It's very noticeable while trying to watch
a movie!

Blu ray skips/drops audio WITH WORKAROUND

I had repeated problems with blu ray movies, both HD and UHD, stuttering or freezing for several seconds or just flat out dropping audio. Tried all the usual things, (new cable, different player if I could, etc) but changing this setting seemed to correct
it:

Settings -> Disc & Blu Ray -> Blu Ray -> Let my receiver decode audio SET THIS TO CHECKED

No issues since.

X1X scorpio ed hdmi out to lg b7 oled optical out from lg to receiver.

Blu-Ray Freezing

Try heading to Settings>Disc & Blue-Ray and then Clear Persistant Storage then restart the console by holding the power button for 10 seconds until it shuts down. See if that helps the issue.

Yep, tested this out and both films i tested had a split second freeze during playback.

It only happened twice during both films, but it's still not an ideal situation.

I've experienced the odd freeze and stutter too.

Go to you settings, select "disc & blu ray", go to "persistent storage" and select clear. then hold down the power button on the console till it shuts off (not the controller) it should take around 10 seconds. let it reboot and blu rays should play better

I have another blu ray that needs to be looked at.

It's plays perfectly then completely freezes for around 5 seconds then continues playing for a while then completely freezes again for around 5 seconds

I have tried having bd live turned off and on which makes no difference. It's a brand new blu ray and works fine on my ps3

I had a similar issue and it also made the dashboard run slow and even freeze. I called and was told to uninstall the blu ray app. This fixed the freezing and I could play games. Tried to install blu ray app again and same issue. I was sent a new unit amd
returned the old one. No issue with new one amd can watch blu rays so far. Hope this helps.
