Blu-Ray Freezes on Xbox One S

Hi all,

I'm having some serious problems with Blu-Ray App on my Xbox One S. I don't know if you experienced the same issue but I tried Yesterday to put on my Blu-Ray of Breaking Bad (first season, first disc, original) on my Xbox One S Blu-Ray player: at the first
attempt it was correctly read but there were some video issues; the second time it didn't work, while the third time it seemed to work when it suddenly video freezed and I couldn't do anything in order to make it work properly.

Now: I've never had such problems up to now, neither with games nor with movies. I can guarantee my Xbox One S isn't damaged or defected... I think it might be due to the recent system update and maybe I'll have to adjust some video/audio property in Xbox
One Options. Otherwise I cannot see what could be the problem: I do not have a 4K TV so I'm using a standard FULLHD TV... and yes, I also tried to cancel the cache by pressing the Xbox power for 10 seconds but it still doesn't work. The only thing I didn't
try is to change disc, using for instance the second disc of Breaking Bad S1 or some other discs of the entire season. I'll try and let you know.

I know Xbox is beeing passing through serious blu-ray issues mostly related to 4K. I thought Standard Blu-Rays would defenitely run properly without problems but maybe that's not the case.

If you know how to solve the problem please tell me, because at the moment Xbox One S is the only Blu-Ray player I do have in my place.

Yes, please let us know what happens when you use another disc! We also recommend

power cycling as the first step - if that doesn't work, then perhaps using another HDMI cable.

Does the dashboard freeze up as well? My first xbox one did not work with blu ray, skipped and glitched out, dashboard froze. Uninstalled app as per microsoft dashboard was fine xbox worked, reinstalled app, froze and poor blu ray playback. They sent new
one has not been an issue with the few blu rays I have watched so far fingers crossed.

Are specifically having this issue with the 4K Blue-Ray version of Oblivion as well? I saw that you mentioned 4K Blu-Rays worked before the update, did you set up your Xbox One S and try a 4K Blu-ray before updating?

Thanks for posting this up, are there any other Universal Studios 4K Blu-Ray movies that you can try out as well? In the meantime, please try uninstalling the Blu-Ray app, power cycle your Xbox One S console by holding the power button, and then reinstall
the Blu-Ray app.

it can, it may have region locks for your area but yes the xbox one can play cd, dvd, blu-ray, and if you have the x/s 4k blu ray
