Blu Ray Bitstream Passthrough faulty

Hey,

the bitstream passthrough with the blu ray app didn't work.

Blu rays with Dolby True HD is still working. But if the blu ray have an DTS HD Master soundtrack there comes an error that my receiver can't decode it. But my receiver can decode both, Dolby True HD an DTS HD Master. Anybody else have this problem, maybe
a bug?

optimal sound settings for Xbox One (uncompressed or bitstream?)

If you're using a 5.1 setup with HDMI then uncompressed is the way to go. Bitstream only supports Dolby Digital and DTS, uncompressed allows you to access Dolby TrueHD and DTS Master for Blu-Rays.

~£250 for a UHD blu ray plus a HD games machine is a tempting bargain if DTS MA and Atmos work :thumbsup:

Looks like current state of play is that it's for Blu ray / DVD app only, not media player, so NAS users will need to wait for XBMC

Yeah I'm having the same problem too. My receiver can definitely decode the audio, as well. Very frustrating.

 

Hey guys!

Could you both try plugging your console directly into your TV and playing the Blu-Rays that have DTS HD Master soundtrack then? We're trying this as a troubleshooting step but there is a chance that you won't be able to select Bitstream. Hopefully you can
though and we can try to narrow down if the issue is with the communication with the receiver somewhere or if it's the console itself.

Let us know so we can dig a bit deeper please.

Same issue here, onkyo 646 amp that can do up to atmos and dts x but get the same error

 

I have bitstream out turned on on my setup and I all can get is plain DTS or plain Dolby digital. No True DD or master DTS or Dolby Atmos. Is the Dolby atmos supposed to be working for everyone now?

 

just downloaded latest system update, still doesn't work

 

installed latest blu ray update today, and latest firmware for my amp ( also today) neither has resolved the bitsream issue. This is extremely poor, there is no issue with the amp ( onkyo 646) every other device manages to bistream with no issues, only the
xbox one has a problem. Can you confirm this is being actively investigated, I picked up the one s for uhd playback which currently is very poor, re encoding atmos and dts x to DD is just not acceptable

 

I get the same error plugged directly to the tv

jupp its amazing how we "finally" got bitstream bit the most used audio is not supported. Lol

 

is there any work going on with this issue whatsoever, we have had at least 3 updates since it was reported and there is no improvement even with the latest update today, I still get exactly the same error as previously
