Blu-ray app not working (DVDs play fine)

Bought Xbox One at Christmas, has been playing Blu-rays via the app just fine until the beginning of this month. Now we pop in a Blu-ray and it might whir a bit, maybe even access some of the initial splash screens ('loading', etc.) but then nothing, just
black. DVDs play fine. I have checked for updates, restarted uninstalled and reinstalled the Blu-ray app. Anyone else having this problem or found a solution?

dvd disks will not play.

same here, games and blu-rays work fine. blu-ray app is installed. DVD disc will not play I get an error message. I just bought a brand new DVD and still will not work.

Hey guys - I've since tried to play a dvd in mine - it took me straight to the store and an app called blu ray disc - that enables you to play all of your favourite DVD and blu ray movies. I've launched that app and my DVD worked fine! I hope this helps!

Hi

Please try clearing the persistent storage for Blu Rays

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Select Disc & Blu-ray.

Select Blu-ray

Then click on Persistent Storage

Well it won't play 3D blu-ray. If any other blu-ray, DVD, game disc work fine, the issue is with the thor regular version.

Hey, guys, I'm having the same issue with my Xbox one not playing dvds. When I put the disc in the Blu-ray player app launches and then gives me this message. "We are having trouble reading this. Make sure it's a Blu-ray or DVD. If it's a game try launching
it from your game & app instead ( 0x91d70000) ". It plays Blu-ray and game discs just fine.
