Blu Ray app not recognising discs of any kind anymore

the blu ray app installed on my One X has decided to no longer read any discs. I get the code 0x802725a which is either an app or sign on issue. I can sign on fine so it must be the app. I’ve uninstalled it three times. I’ve followed the support page
hint and changed to energy saving power. I’ve hard rest. I’ve hard powered down. I’ve restarted after quitting the app. Nowt.

It did work because I have watched 4K discs on it and blu rays and dvds.

I’m flummoxed.

3D playback not working

Xbox One supports 3D Blu-ray discs when played on 3D TVs. Try checking whether there are any updates for The Blu-ray player app

Xbox One S Blu-ray 4k Blu-ray

The Blu-ray player app, even when running on an Xbox One S, does not recognize UHD Blu-ray discs.

I looked up the error (91d70000) and it indicates that the format of the disc is unrecognized.

The app lists UHD Blu-ray in the description, so I am assuming this is a bug, and not just unimplemented support.

Have you managed to sort this? I've experienced a similar issue and have tried the same remedies with no luck.

Try clearing the persistent storage in the Settings > Disc & Blu-Ray > Blu-Ray > Persistent Storage > Clear, then hard reset the console again.

Thanks for the advice. It appeared to work initially but then after a number of goes it didn't recognise a Blu-Ray disc.

I'll give it a few days to see just how many times it doesn't recognise a Blu-Ray disc to see if the issue has been reduced.

Any more ideas would be more than appreciated!

Update has installed and problem persists.

I have discovered that the Blu-Rays that are not recognised first time and now being recognised once the disc error comes up and they have been ejected and reinserted. Begging the question: does the optical drive and/or system and/or app need to 'warm up'?
