Blu-ray app loading time

Since the last system update (September Update), the blu-ray app takes a long time to load. I have tried blu-ray disks and dvd's. Once the app starts it just sits at a black screen for a couple of min before the menu starts. I also noticed that in some scenes
there is a bit if shuddering. I know it is not any of my disks since some are brand new and they older ones never had a issue loading before. Has anyone else had this issue ?

blu-Ray player app won't play certain DVDs

I can't get any Blu Ray discs or DVDs to play. The Blu Ray loading screen will pop up and the little loading circle will start spinning, then I can hear the Blu Ray or DVD playing but it will never show video, just stay on the loading screen. I have tried
this with several different discs and uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times with the same results. Can anyone help?

 

DVD/Blu Ray Player stuck on loading screen, but with menu sounds.

I tried downloading the Blu Ray/DVD app the other day for the first time. I've never had any problems with other apps. I stuck in a DVD (non Blu ray) and the loading screen for the app came up. The circle kept spinning while the audio for the DVD menu played
in the background. Never did the screen change from the blue loading screen with the spinning circle.

I've been playing Blurays and haven't noticed what you described. Have you done a hard reset -

support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console to see if maybe that might resolve the issue?
