Blu-Ray app issue

Hi I need some help.

Over the last two months my Blu ray app stops working and then works again I have watched star wars box set loads of times and now this morning again the blue screen comes up and you see the white circle loading the disc in but no picture but you can hear
it when I come out of the app it will show briefly but that's it.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and it seems to work but that does not work now either.

Play videos on burned discs

I've put a disk in and none of the apps even see the optical blu ray drive let alone any media files on it. The blu ray player app does play media on a blu ray disk that is in the proper blu ray format, but VLC, or even the file explorer app do not even display the optical drive. I can play media on an external drive using VLC.

 

Xbox one bluRay audio problems. Help needed.

I've been having issues with my audio when playing blu ray's on the xbox one. It doesn't matter what disc I use or what audio source. No audio will play through my headset directly from the controller, or hooked up to my 4k tv. This all started several months ago when it would freeze and the audio will go out of sync with the picture. Netflix, vudu, and games are not affected. My asus montiors also supports hdmi sound and they dont work when the blu ray movie plays.
I just spent an hour with Xbox support and nothing they suggest had any effect on the issue. My xbox, unfortunately, is out of warranty.

Things i've tried:
Uninstalling and reinstalling the blu ray app.
switching the audio settings.
installing the app on both my internal and external.
using fiber optic sound cable through my mix amp.

The behavior is the same.

Could this be an issue with the blu ray player, a combination between the App and the device, or the App just being the worst app ever created on this planet?

I have seen this happen a few times, but worry not. basic troubleshooting should get you sorted in no time.

Uninstall the app, hard reset the console, unplug powersupply from the console and poweroutlet until the light in PSU goes out. Plug everthing back together, turn on the console, and reinstall the app.

Emergency solution would be a factory restore.
