Blu Ray App going to black screen

We have 2 Xbox one consoles and they are both giving us issues playing blu rays all of the suppen. The disk loads and starts but freezes so we have to closest he app and restart. If we actually manage to get to the menu I can hit play but the movie never
plays it just goes to a loading/black screen. Any known fixes for this? Both consoles are doing the same thing.

Blu-ray player won't play films.

Trying to watch LOTR extended blu-ray. Put the disc in. It loads up the app and sits on a black screen. Anyone found a solution?

 

Problem reading dvd discs?

My Xbox plays games just fine, as well as blu ray discs, but not dvd's. When I put a dvd in, the blu ray app starts, and then the screen goes black. The guide button on the controller won't work on this black screen. Ejecting the disc takes the Xbox back
to the home screen after a few seconds. Every dvd causes this, no blu rays or games do. I've tried hard resets, making sure that my video preferences are correct, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the blu ray app. The dvd discs are in great condition,
so the problem isn't there. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thank you

 

Hi IceQueen2715 if you have not already done so can you please try and clear the Blu Ray persistent storage to see if that helps with your issue.

This is the first thing I tried, having read a few other posts first. And still nothing.

 

The xbox isn't frozen I can hit the xbox button and return to the main screen then quit the app and try again.

 

I'll sate the obvious

but have you tried unplugging the system from mains supply ? just to get the xbox to fully reboot it's self, as some updates in past may cause issues later.

Its hard to know what else to put as you have not told us what you have already tried to resolve the issue ?

 

I'm sorry you're right I have tried cleaning the disk, unplugging the system, and also uninstallung and reinstalling the app. And so far still nothing works.
