Blu-ray app Broken like this company

So i have had this pos paper weight call an xbox none for a year. Now as of a week ago my console will not play dvds or blu ray disc even though i have the app. I get random error codes either saying this or saying disc is region 1 and my console is region
1 so i am unable to play. Im so done with this **** im ready to throw this thing in the garbage and buy a PS5. Is there a fix for this? Or should i bad mouth xbox?

Blu Ray App is broken on the xbox one

No Blu-Ray is a different disc reading to the standard DVD basis. Many companys have the legal right of using it like Sony. But Microsoft isn't one of them so I'm sorry it won't play Blu-Ray DVDs. They require a Blu-Ray Disc Driver.

It's only the Blu-Ray app that doesn't download. Everything else is fine it's the app itself that is broken. Now it doesn't even try to download and slows down my whole internet.

Hello Edgy,

Just as a troubleshooting step, would like you to uninstall the blu ray app then reinstall it. Also go to settings>disc and blu ray>blu ray>persistent storage and clear 3 times.
