    Blu-Ray App and Bitstreaming

Just updated One to the March release and updated the sound options to bitstreaming, but when playing a blu-ray - still just standard Dolby or DTS, I am not getting DTS-HD Master or Dolby True HD to my receiver. Is this a limitation of the blu-ray app or
another issue? Yes, I know PCM is lossless, but hey want those lights to light up.

    :)

    Uncompressed audio clicks in GUI

for Blu Ray does the app not send the audio selected bitstreamed regardless of the audio setting in the main menu?

Can add me into Bitstreaming Pass-through Invitation?

download the insider preview hub app. Once your xbox one is added to the preview program, you can update it. Its in beta but the bitstreamING pass-through works for both blu-ray and 4k blu-ray discs. Dolby Atmos audio playback definitely works on both formats
now. Not sure if DTS:X outputs or not as I haven't tried the one DTS:X movie that I have on the Xbox one.

    Blu-Ray App and Bitstreaming

I have the same question. I use my Xbox One to watch Blu-rays, but I want the best audio experience on my VIZIO S4251w-B4 5.1 Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer and Satellite Speakers. Which optical audio settings are Xbox One audio settings are best to
watch a Blu ray like Inception?

It could be that the Xbox One's software doesn't support the advanced codecs or it could be that the current hardware doesn't support it. Like how launch PS3s still can't support them because of older HDMI ports while newer ones can. As you've said, PCM
is uncompressed and the only difference would be which lights come on your receiver. With all the quirks the Xbox One has, I'd rather Microsoft not waste any resources on adding support for that yet.

For optical out, you'll want to go with either Dolby or DTS if you have a 5.1 setup or PCM if you have a stereo setup. Ideally for DTS or Dolby, you'd want the one that the audio is natively encoded in on the source. But that would mean manually changing
it all the time, currently. Since most blurays these days are encoded in DTS-HD, I'd set it to DTS. If you watched mostly DVDs, I'd go with Dolby.

Atmos not Working in Bluray App

I have this same problem. I'm not getting the Atmos Bitstream from UHD Blu Ray discs. Games aren't a problem and the demo videos from the Atmos App work fine, i.e. my receiver shows Dolby Atmos. But when I play a UHD Disk from the Blu Ray app, it defaults
to Dolby TrueHD. I'm pretty sure I've narrowed this down to an issue with the Blu Ray player App. The only thing I haven't tried, which I will tonight, is to uncheck the "Let my Receiver Decode" check box. Which shouldn't fix the problem, but I'll try it
    anyway.

    Xbox One issue

Maybe it has something to do with the Blu-Ray app. Try removing the Blu-Ray app and re-installing.
