    Here is the deal very frustrated at this time. My Xbox one is obly 5months old. It was bought mainly for dvd, Blu-ray and 4k movie use. We play a few games but we are huge movie collectors. About three months ago we noticed a handful of disc wouldn't play
    ajd another played good a third way through then messed up. Then would played the ebd of the movie perfectly. We were annoyes but it was a handful we buy alot of movies.

    Now it is playing a handful perfectly and the rest is playing the beginnong well then freezing up mid way then not playing at all or not reading the disv at all.

    I have tried seeking help from the experts chat. Tried emptying the storage, tried resetting to factory settings. Basically everything i can think of and all advice that can given.

    Someone said it must be the player. That doesn't make sense to me because some disc play some dont.

    Can anyone tell me how to fix this? How to get a hold of a live rep? STILL UNDER WARRENTY THIS IS RIDUCLOUS.

    I can provide you with some basic tips so long.

    Set up and install the Blu-ray and DVD player app on Xbox

    To watch Blu-ray or DVD movies on your Xbox console, you first need to install the Blu-ray Player app. To install the app, choose one of the following options.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide, select Home, and then select Store.

    Select Search and enter Blu-ray in the search bar. Select the Blu-ray Player app when it appears in the list of results.

    Select Install to download and install the app.

    Insert a Blu-ray or DVD disc into your Xbox.

    Select the Blu-ray Player app when it appears.

    On the Blu-ray Player app details page, select Install.

    Your disc should start playing automatically.

    After the app is installed, you can watch Blu-ray or DVD movies by inserting the disc into your Xbox console and selecting Blu-ray Player on the Home screen, or by finding it under My games & apps

    Issue with Xbox not reading DVD's

    Make sure you have the Blu-Ray app installed. Blu-Ray player function uses dvds too.

    Each Xbox One console is manufactured for a specific Blu-ray and DVD region, following international standards. The Xbox One console can play Blu-ray discs and DVDs that are sold in the same region as the console.

    Therefore, before purchasing Blu-ray or DVD disc, make sure that the region code on your disc is the same with your Blu-ray or DVD disc player.
