Blu Ray and CD discs won't play offline

Discus and support Blu Ray and CD discs won't play offline in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; My wireless was disabled, absolutely offline....Not sure what the difference might be....hope it gets solved for you! Discussion in 'XBoX on Consoles' started by Unreal Warfare, Jan 22, 2014.

    Mine works to when disabled, Unreal. I only use Wifi and have disconnected and I can still run a dvd as well as play games. Although oddly, I can only play career mode on Power Star Golf and cant do free play. *shrugs*

    I'm going to uninstall the Blu Ray, and Audio CD, apps then reinstall them and see what happens. I will report back my findings. Thanks for testing guys.

    Interesting....I was playing Free Play when I was testing a couple of games....I had some warning boxes come up, but it allowed me to continue to play. Go figure.

    Very. I just tried free play because its the first option and it wouldnt let me. Got a bit discouraged honestly. Then I tried Career, just to see and it loaded right up.

    XBOX STATUS ALERT:UK xbox sign in problems,xbox1 doesnt work offline.

    You need to disconnect wireless aswell to sign in offline. I found that I cannot play Blu Ray or CD discs without an Internet connection. Like, what?

    Hi everyone.

    Not trying to be smart or anything, but did you install both the Audio CD and the Blu-Ray player apps??

    I ask because I have had several people ask me why an audio CD won't play or a Blu-Ray movie, but had neglected to install them..

    No Blu-Ray is a different disc reading to the standard DVD basis. Many companys have the legal right of using it like Sony. But Microsoft isn't one of them so I'm sorry it won't play Blu-Ray DVDs. They require a Blu-Ray Disc Driver.
