Blocking communications through Xbox live for offensive language but games have the same ...

I've been a Xbox live gold subscription member for 10 years now 31 years old and I play video games that are rated M for Mature mostly. But for the 2nd time in a year and 9 months my communications have got blocked by the enforcement ppl from Xbox live for
offensive language and use of profanity. Now how ridiculous is that when the games they allow to be played on the system has it in it itself. Also isn't it against my first amendment rights freedom of speech to ban me from a service I pay for, its not like
I'm treating to kill people or being racist, or using hate crime speech, I just cuss and use of profanity. I can't help that kids that shouldn't be playing those video games do weather its on their profile or their parents profile and that some ppl want to
be whiny and report me or anyone else instead of just using the mute option that they provide and block me or anyone else so they don't ever come across us again in a online game play lobby. I don't understand the Xbox code of conduct contradicts itself by
you the company allowing games that has the same language in it to be played on the system but banning me/others for using it as well.

While games themselves can be rated M, everything else on Live has to remain E for everyone. That's where the code of conduct comes in.

Freedom of speech does not apply to businesses like Microsoft.

 

First. lets read what the first amendment says

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government
for a redress of grievances"

So according to the constitution this only applies to The Congress of the US making a law that prevents freedom of speech.

Says nothing about Private companies making terms of use of their product that you agree to when signing up for the service.

Second. the ratings on the games themselves are there for purchasing the games. For M rated games it is against the law for a store to sell a M rated game to a minor. It has nothing to do with playing the game itself. That
is up to the parent to determine if they want their kid to play the game or not. And the rating is for the campaign part of the game itself online play is not rated.

 

Why cuss and use profanity when gaming?

No need for it at all, it just ruins the atmosphere for everyone else in the game, so no surprise that you were reported.

And I`m 51, but I don`t use foul language in multi-player matches just because there is profanity in the game itself.

There is just no need for it what so ever.
