It depened what kind of match is it. If was a rank match. It putty much the only way is seclet avolid. A player match same as rank. But have a loop hole to it. And there a private match. You son will have controll who comes to the match that he made. This
all I can think of. Unless another XCA and XBOX SUPPORT have better insight on this subject.

Once Blocked a Profile cannot send you Messages. That is unless your son (or whoever) is Unblocking that Profile by sending Messages back or Unblocking it.

Block a Profile and do not send it any Messages and it will remain Blocked forever. If they make a new Profile and send a new Message, Block again. It's a lot easier to hit one button to Block then it is to create a Profile.

You need to Block the Player Profile. They cannot send any Messages once Blocked. If they send a Message that means someone from your end either Unblocked that Profile or sent it a Message.

Yes. If they still send a Message from then it can only mean your Profile either sent the Blocked Profile a Message or your Profile Checked the Unblock.

Ok, is there a way around this? The person is rumored to have bought software to kick my son offline. Our internet provider actually had to cut off our internet due to the traffic jam this software caused. I told my son to avoid this player and have
no communication with them. Since then, this person has sent my son at least two messages and a friend request. Last night, he sent "why are you hiding from me"...I don't want our internet to be compromised again. I'm curious if there is another way for
this person to unblock himself? My son says he hasn't sent a message and he says he didn't unblock this person. I checked and the player is still blocked. I can't check to see sent messages but I do believe my son. Thank you for response.

No, there is no way around the Block unless the Users Profile (your son's) sends a Message or Unblocks the Profile after.

The being kicked offline is known as a DDoS Attack (Distributed Denial of Service). That is an attack against your ISP and you should notify them that your Internet provided by them was attacked.

On the DDoS, sorry but welcome to the Internet. You can also File a Complaint on Xbox LIVE against that Profile. On the Xbox One you can specify the Complaint a little more that you believe it was DDoS Attack. On the Xbox 360
you will have to pick the box most like the Complaint.

You can also adjust Privacy Settings in the mean time to either "No One" or "Friends Only". No other Profile will be able to see your sons Online Activity then.

Yeah, I'm getting a crash course on this whole internet thing. How can you protect yourself from a DDoS attack? Is there anything else you can do to a player who does it to another player? Is there anyway to PROVE who did it?

"Proof" of a DDoS Attack goes way beyond the spectrum of this Forum. Your ISP will have records of a lot of junk traffic from many different sources. Same goes for Software/ Hardware to Protect against such things (outside the
    scope of this Forum).

Think of it this way. Most Home Networks a Router or Gateway have Settings to Block or ignore traffic both specific and general. The more you start "protecting" your Internet Connection the less Connections are available.

The best thing would be to contact your ISP in regards, File a Complaint on Xbox LIVE, Block the User in question and adjust Privacy Settings. The DDoS Attack was probably against your IP Address. It has since already been changed.
In order for that person to do it again, they need to make any type of Internet Connection to you (say like Joining their XBL Party). If you don't provide them with any Connection, they cannot obtain your new IP Address.

I cannot say for sure, but I believe if you are blocked they cannot see any profile information including friends. That may be a question for xbox support though.
