My 9yr old son used my credit card to make unautherized purchases $370 worth of Fortnite product

But we are unable to get into his 11yr old brothers account with the email address and password are as he put.

been passed around for 2wks and still unable to get a refund as we cant get into account or reset because the questions we answer with says not enough info.

Shouldnt the fact that my credit card was stolen and used be a reason to get my money back that is owing on card. making me so frustrated surely if i have all info it can be opened on the consultants end

Tried a recovery and was denied with not enough information

ok will try again with the Xbox Device ID surely the gametager name would should be enough

i have inquire in the bank saying microsoft is willing to refund but i cant get into the account to make it that simple.

If your credit card was used fraudulently you can contact your credit card company to have the charges reversed. That would be your best option at this point. You should have no difficulty.

Try to check on the console if you got the correct email used. You will see it when you attempt to add a new account on the console. The profile downloaded will be listed in there with the email visible . Then do an account recovery on :

https://account.live.com/acsr .

For the info needed such as the Xbox Live ID, please input the "XBOX Device ID" and not the serial number.which you can see on your console info .

If you can't recover it still, you may need to coordinate with your bank and fill a dispute. You may contact support anytime as well for more options.

Once you fill out the form with the correct email and get the email from them saying that you have not provided enough information you would need to contact xbox support by going to support.xbox.com/contact-us and they would then be able to do a forgotten
password escalation for you which they will ask you more questions about the account and send it to their escalations team who will look at that information and determine if you provided enough information and if so they will send you a link to reset the password
for the account.

You will need the email that says that you have not provided enough information because there is a reference number at the bottom of that email that will be part of the escalations form. You will also need a console that has had your sons account on it previously
because they will ask you for some information off of that console.

As far as I know they put the escalation in to halt. I'm not quite sure exactly. My mate keeps getting referred back to the ACSR though we already provided the ACSR reference number.

He got denied for multiple times and just toggle the info. Good thing he got his account back.
