Blocked Gamertag Still popping up on my TV as friend/ follower. WHY?

This is equivalent to seeing someone everyday at work who you hate really badly. So I blocked a friend/ follower who I don't want to stay in contact with anymore. Frustrating thing is that they will still pop up as online, as if they were still my friend.
Now I went ahead and blocked and unblocked them to be sure multiple times recently, but they still pop up. Whats the use in blocking someone if you still see them pop up? I've checked and we're not friends, & they're not my follower anymore & vice versa. This
is a very annoying problem & I'm losing my freaking mind.

Blocked players still causing "X is online" popup

weird problem where a while ago i blocked someone who used to be a friend i have checked and they are not a friend on XBone or 360 and its still popping up whenever they come online as if they were a favorite... any fix or anyone else with this problem?

 

Cannot remove a Follower

Same problem removed him as a friend and blocked him but hes still a follower

 

I am having the same problem man. I even added them back and then told those people that I blocked to add me back so I can fix the problem and then we both removed each other and blocked each other multiple times yet they still show up.

They weren't like real friends or anything like that. They were people I had met online and played with them but after that we stopped playing together so we mutually decided to remove each other and then this happened. They still show up on my followers
list but when I go to their profile it doesn't say that they follow me or anything.

Thats good. I hope the update is soon because I just seen him pop up again. Everytime this happens to someone, an xbox hard drive is erased. : (

 

Having the same problem where 3 people are still on my followers list after blocking them. I've tried everything I can think of to try and remove them from my list completely. I've readded them as friends before removing them and still can't find a solution.
