Hi,

My son has been blocked from using the chat due to bad language when others provoced him and we would like to know for how long he will be blocked? It´s his second offence

You can view his ban by logging in at enforcement.xbox.com and file a case review from there if eligible. The enforcement team does not use these forums.

Usually a sign he did something in retailiation

Basically he should've reported mute and moved on

He isn't allowed to respond in anywya

He won't get banned for reporting however if he retailiatrs then you should tell him to use common sense

It doesn't matter who starts the fight everyone is accountable to the rules

He should report/block any gamer that is trying to cause problems and breaking the rules. He should never retaliate or respond in any way. Any infraction against the ToU/CoC whether provoked or not is not allowed.

Hey, If you are receiving these types of messages, you can block communication with that user all together. Just open one of the messages in question and select “Block Communications”. This will prevent the user from sending you any more messages. Check
