our sons outlook email address is on our IOS devices and checking the emails has never been a problem until the last few days. We are now being prompted by the iPhone/iPad to enter the password. When we do we get this message ..,

"Your parent has blocked access to games and apps that aren't published by Microsoft. If you want to use this app, ask your parent to visit account.live.com/mk and go to Manage this child's access to third-party apps for your account.“

We’re only trying to view emails using the email folders in iOS, not using any other app.

I spent 2 hours earlier in an online chat trying to resolve the issue but the only solution I got was a link to a community post which turns out to be a few years out of date and probably wasn’t for an Xbox one.

Any suggestions on how to sort this would be gratefully received.

Hi,

When my son logged in to his friend's xbox, my son's mail, calendar and contacts ended up working on his iphone connected to outlook.com.

When he tries to connect, he gets this error message:

"Your parent has blocked access to games and apps that aren't published by Microsoft. If you want to use this app, ask your parent to visit account.live.com/mk and go to Manage this child's access to third-party apps for your account."

I have tested different settings on family.microsoft.com but nothing helps and now all settings are now turned off at family.microsoft.com.

I have also tried to find any setting related to third-party apps both on my Xbox one and on xbox.com.

I have also posted a post in the outlook.com-forum and it seems that there are several people who have the same or similar problems.

What game(s) would you like to see on the Xbox One?

^^ Aren't those games published by EA? They could make them backwards compatible and release them on EA Access. It'd be another way to possibly get new subscribers.

hi! It’s only happening on my iOS devices, not on the console. I can check emails by logging onto the website without issue. I’ve updated the security info just and tried to re-add the email address to my phone and it’s still the same error message. For
info, the console isn’t on at the moment.
