    There's another good perk that slows down time when your enemy uses a power attack making it very easy to avoid. I would uinlock this one as well as the shield bash.

    Block?

    You can do it both ways. If you time your block you can stagger your attacker.

    Also, holding Block and then tapping RT will perform a sheild bash if you pick it as a perk.
