    Hi, I have an issue with my Xbox. I turn it on and it goes to the green Xbox screen and then turns blank/black. I've waited for it to load or whatever and it doesn't work. I've tried restarting, I've tried turning off and on and waiting. I've checked all the connections, they're all good and it's not a TV or HDMI issue. I can click the home/Xbox button on my remote and it will come up with restart, turn off console, turn of controller but that's all I can do. I've tried clicking the eject button and home button at the same time and turns it into a smaller screen but does the same thing (Xbox green page and then blank). Please someone help, what do I do!

    Please try the following steps:

    1. Go to settings / blu ray and erase the permanent storage.

    2. Perform a system cache reset. Keep the powerbutton for about 15 seconds. Keep it holding even when the one turns off. Wait for the power supply to change the color to orange and then restart the console.

    Check if that solves your problem or if it occurs again.

    Afraid it didnt help. It seems to be addressing a screen freeze situation, not a blank screen, which is my problem

    oh ok. my polaroid tv doesn't seem to recognise the hdmi input either. maybe contact panasonic.

    its the hdmi cable that im having trouble with which doesnt have a switch. do you mean the switch thats on the older cable what comes with the xbox? thanks

    My controller does connect, but it does not make any noise, even when I waited.
