    Hi i have an xbox one and everytime i play it, i keep getting a blank screen come up then back to the game briefly then it goes again and so on.. I have tried a different hdmi cable, a brand new hdmi cable and it still happens. I have also tried it in
    another tv and had no issues at all. im guessing its the tv thats the problem but my question is, has anyone encountered the same problem and managed to resolve it? Any help would be much appreciated.

    Use the HDMi cable that came with the Xbox. Check the settings on the TV. If it is an internet capable (smart) tv then make sure its got its updates as well. When this happens it tends to be some combination of the xbox display settings and the tv display
    settings.

    Make sure the resolution on both match.Try different bit rates. It would take some time, but set things to the lowest settings, then try ONE AT A TIME and up them to your desired setting and see which one is tripping up the setup.

    I left it on the blank screen after about 40 mins to 1 hour and my home page came back to life. Just leave it on that whilst it does what does and might work for you.

    If you are experiencing a blank screen with the console switched on can you please first try following the

    support steps in this link    . If after following the steps in this link your console need to be sent for service you will be able to arrange this through the
    Repair and Service Centre whilst you are raising the service request it should provide you the costs for the repair.

    Haven't tried any dvds or even blurays on One yet but its a bit daft that we can't change the ratio.

    My two year old daughter knows how to do it on the 360!

    Hopefully, its on the list for future updates.
