Blank screen after turning Xbox One on

So today I went to set up my Xbox One after it not being connected since early November. So after plugging it all in and turning it on, it was just a blank screen.

This is a different TV to what it was originally connected to. Power and HDMI were both connected and the Xbox was turned on. I tried all HDMI ports on the TV before trying it on a different TV where is also didn't work.

Basically I have tried everything it suggested on the "Your screen is blank after you power on the console" troubleshooting on this page; Troubleshooting a Blank Screen TV or Monitor While Your Xbox One is on

Admittedly when it wasn't connected I stored the console in a kit bag in my conservatory, where it is cold. So I am a bit worried that leaving it in the cold for a few months has somehow broken it.

Also, I purchased it on release so the 1 year warranty that is offered has passed sadly.

Any suggestions on a fix or what I should do if it is indeed broken?

Blank tv while xbox one is on

I got a new hdmi cable thinking maybe i needed a new one But even after hooking it up and turning my xbox on the tv screen under hdmi is blank help please

Xbox One black screen

Have you followed the instructions at Troubleshooting a Blank Screen TV or Monitor While Your Xbox One is on and
followed the instructions under "Your screen is blank after turning on the console"?

If not, follow the instructions which will reset your display settings.

Do you have access to the TV you used it on previously, or another TV you can try it on?

As you haven't had it on since November, it could be that the Xbox One is updating. How long did you leave it on the blank screen before trying again?

Try to leave the console on for a while and see if it is just updating. You could turn it on in the background and watch TV as normal while you wait.

I don't have access to the old TV unfortunately. I've tried it on two different TV's (both Toshiba) and neither of them worked.

Left it on the black screen for about 10 minutes, i'll try leave it on for a little white then.

I had the same problem with a Console I purchased in Dec10, 2014. Luckily the MS Store in my area have extended the return policy to January 30, 2015. I swapped it for a new one yesterday. I, too tried everything (changed the HDMI cables, powered on and
off according to MS website). then I thought why am I hassling when I can get a new one.

Tried leaving it on for about half hour and nothing.

I don't think the TV is getting signal from the Xbox as I keep getting a 'No signal, TV turn off in 1 minute' notification from the TV.

Today tried it with a Xbox360 HDMI cable and it still doesn't work, so it's ruled out everything apart from the fault Xbox in my opinion.

Anyone have any other suggestions before I try taking it to someone that fixes Xbox's to have a look at it?

I've been dealing with this for DAYS.

I've tried hard reboot, soft reboot, unplugging all cords after a hard reboot and leaving it 2 minutes, restart using eject + power button, trying to connect via console command to see if there's a way to access the dashboard & settings menu. But NOTHING. I don't know what else to do I'm so frustrated with xbox this never used to be an issue & I've never had this much trouble with playstation. The only think I'm able to access on my xbox is the option to "turn off console, turn off controller, restart xbox" "use magnifier, use narrator". This is the 2nd time I've had black screen and the only time I haven't been able to fix it. When I load console command and screen grab via my OBS system it show's "now playing" like it's trying to start a blu-ray? I assume? there was a dvd inside when this started but it was the 1st thing I removed before all my attempts. I can't even force close the app. I can't even format. nothing works to get me to dashboard to get to the settings menu. I can't even turn off the HD graphics in settings (I read that can cause problems now). HELP. I really don't want to trash my console I spent so much $$ on & I won't buy another because this issue has been widespread all over. People say the error originated in Live? (I've also tried bind + Eject + power - reboots fine than after green xbox it goes back to black NO dashboard, No option to access settings)

**Update** It FINALLY allowed me into troubleshoot mode!!! Fingers crossed. I told it to erase everything except games & apps.

Updating, turning off HDR/HD setting.... seems to be doing okay so far.
I lost a bunch of data with the profiles but C'est La Vie right?

Kindly follow the steps mentioned below to perform a physical reset:

- Turn off the console unplug all the cables then re-plug them back again.

- Click on the "Bind" and "Eject" buttons at the same time after 10 seconds click the home "X" button just once without letting go of the two buttons. Throughout the whole process you will hear two beep sounds and end up with a troubleshooting page. On your screen. You will need to select the "Reset this Xbox" option and choose "Reset and keep my games and apps".

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.
