    Blank grey screen


    My Xbox one suddenly showed nothing but a blank grey screen, and no functions were available except the console off and controller off options. I turned the system off and back on (leaving it off for several minutes between) several times with the same result.
    I then disconnected the power supply from the wall and power cable, and the power cable from the system, then reconnected it. Now the system light will turn on but nothing will happen on the screen.

    XBox Update Issues

    So, I turned on my TV last night, and the screen showed an update going on; It had completed download, and verification, and was 85% into installation.

    So I waited, after an hour it had progressed to 86%, so I turned off the TV (NOT the Xbox) and went to bed. When I got up this morning, I turned on the TV and the screen was grey (there was an hdmi signal, but the screen was just a huge flat blank dark
    grey).

    The connect sensors were lit up, and a controller would 'connect' but the screen did not change. I decided a hard boot should be done, so I unplugged the Xbox for 30 seconds or more and plugged it back in.

    The green splash screen appeared, stayed for 20-30 seconds, then the whole screen went back to the blank grey.

    What went wrong and what do I need to do. This is a launch day Xbox One console that has never had any issues before.

    I can't alter my gamer pic in any way.

    I go to customize profile, and then Switch to gamerpic, but when I do that all that comes up is a blank grey screen with "Chose your gamerpic" in the top left corner. It's really frustrating.

    Xbox one dashboard tiles and gray backgrounds weird interference.

    i have just noticed the same thing on my Samsung LED tv, seems to only be on grey screens i get some slight vertical lines also but i did notice they can be removed by adjusting the brightness levels of your TV. best way to view these lines are to go to
    internet explorer and open a blank window thats the perfect grey that shows them on mine.

    I am unable to sign in to my profile on xbox one. I have done multiple hard resets and cold resets with no luck. I click my profile and the grey box pops up for my passkey but I am unable to enter it cause its just a blank grey box. This is annoying
    and irritating - I can't even add a new profile - all we get is a grey box popping up and then back to the screen
