BLACKOUT..am I missing something?

I wanted a new jam earlier this year for me and my clan and kept hearing about this new BATTLE ROYALE format gettin all kinza mad luv..so plunked down my $30 to download PUBG and spent all of about 30 mins til I concluded this is junk

crappy grappy..too many sniper/campers..minimal real world skill..mainly luck

told my clan don't waste money..stick to Battlefield..this fad will pass

lo and behold over spring lil game called Fortnite blew up..and the BATTLE ROYALE format was here to stay..never played Fortnite cuz it seemed like the Chucky Cheese version of PUBG..but when COD sed they were gonna trash campaign (something they've been
looking for an excuse for a long time) for BR format I was like OK..lemme give it another look

truthfully IF one was down with whole BR format I guess this is pretty good..altho it's basically BATTLEFIELD without respawn

..but after playing prolly few hundred matches..I'm still back to: THE BR FORMAT IS JUST NOT GETTING IT FOR ME..here's why:

1) CAMPING- something that was ALWAYS punked on was the guy sitting in a corner with sniper rifle the whole match..hardly moving. Most games are objective passed or at least give this lil B minimal score..so at end of match he might have hella kilz but only
chump change for score. NOT so here. the sniveling lil B camper is rewarded massively in BLACKOUT..and the guy who is actually trying to use good fieldcraft to use cover and move is just fodder for him

2) FORCEFIELD of Death is junk luck of the draw

3) too few sniper rifles..or they're too powerful

4) 30 mins invested in match and whoever gets luck of draw that FORCEFIELD of death doesn't force them to have to move from their lil B sniper hole gets win

5) movement is too loud..just walking slowly gives off very noticeable CLOP..CLOP..CLOP..any decent pair of TurtleBeaches will pick this up

6) too few ways to use skillful stalking..need more smoke grenades..way to kill and move effectively

7) going SOLO is really only reliable way..since as soon as partner gets killed he bails

8) almost takes whole mag to put guy down..but he doesn't die..have to reload..gives partner time to come in and mop me up..then get buddy up..and I get NO credit for putting him down..last match put guy down with 6 shots to face from close range w/ auto
shotty..as I run over to finish him off with rifle butt vs reload buddy pops up puts ONE BULLET in me..I die instantly..and he revives partner and they run off holding hands..30 mins into match 4 kills..great fieldcraft..all for naught

I dunno..I must be missing something

MW3 Blackout - Today's the Day

I laugh at these one day blackouts. I laughed at the battlefield 3 blackout and i laughed at this blackout. Why do people think that a black for only one day will change anything.

Yes you should still get the blackout beta even after missing the multiplayer beta. If you pre-ordered digitally check ready to install, if you pre-ordered in the store they should have given you a code, with GameStop the code is usually on receipt.

 

I am going to have to agree with you. The BR mode of play just does nothing for me. Maybe it is too early, and a few games need to toy with the setup to get it just right, but for now I do not like any of them.

The idea of massive scale battles has a good sound to it. As soon as a developer gets the formula just right, then I will jump back in.
