Black vertical lines

I turned on my X box today and and these lines appeared. I tried a different hdmi cable, different tvs, they still won't go away.

I actually just got these vertical lines when I was playing a couple days ago. SO I decided to restart my xbox to make them go away, and when I turned it back on I got the E74 error code. I looked up how to fix it and some people suggested trying a spare
AV cable to see if that fixed the problem, but it didn't work for me. I now have to send it back for repairs.

Hopefully your problem isn't as severe.

I am having the same problem. I returned it for repair and of course there was no repair done becuase they said it was ok. They probably didn't put a game in it to see what was going on. The lines happen all the time. It starts out clear but than eventually
the lines appear and then gets worse and worse. I noticed last night that the XBox was really hot so I placed it on a cookie cooling rack which unfortunately that did not fix it. It is not tv, tried it on a different tv. I think my friend tried different
cables and it didn't work but I'm not sure. Please keep me posted on a solution if you find one.

 

Does this problem occur only on Xbox one or does it appear when watching cable TV and also other devices besides Xbox as well? If it occurs on everything it is a TV issue in which that case I would try unplugging TV for about a min to see if it resolves
issue. If not its possible your TV has burnt out pixels. Only if you have a lcd should you bother with this article.

It's also possible that your native resolution setting somehow changed. 1.Go to settings 2.Display and sound 3. TV resolution ( try multiple settings to see if it fixes) 4. TV connection (make sure its HDMI) 5. Turn color depth to 24 but color space standard
turn off 50 hz 24 hz and 3d.

If this doesn't resolve your issue I would advise a reboot of your television to do this is different for every tv and most people aren't aware you can do it. To do so usually u hold a button for about 15-20 seconds and it will ask if you want to reset your
TV in which case it will turn off completely. On a Samsung you hold the exit button. It may be the menu button as I said each TV varies u can find it on internet depending on your TV. Or you can go through holding buttons until you find it. On a Samsung there
is also a internal Diagnostic's test that can be run by holding the return button.

If your having the same issue on multiple TVs its your HDMI cord of your Xbox and I'd advise trying a different HDMI cable first then if it doesn't resolve contact support and submit a repair order. @ Fattycakes01 read the above post and see if your resolution
or setting are messed up.
