    Black settings menu and kinect not responding


    So my Kinect will turn on my xbox one when I tell it to but after that I am unable to do any other voice commands when the xbox one is on. When I go to my settings app, the screen is black and the only time anything shows is when it is highlighted with my
    controller. When I pressed the menu button on my controller, the standard menu comes up but it's like burned into the settings app and won't go away now even after exiting the app. Also when I'm watching tv, the xbox one logo appears in the upper right corner
    of my tv and won't go away. Not 100% sure if it's always been like that though. Anyone know what's going on or how to fix these problem?

    Did you check your settings? Kinect can be turned off.


    Troubleshoot issues with Kinect voice commands


    Verify that your Kinect sensor is on
    1. Press the Menu button on your controller, select Settings, then select Kinect.
    2. Verify that the Kinect on setting is selected. If it isn’t, select Kinect on to turn the sensor on.

    a please try doing a system cache reset to see if this may fix your issue.

    Hold the powerbutton for about 15 seconds and keep it holding even when the one turns off after some seconds. Wait for the power supply to change the color to orange and then restart the console.

    After trying the advice above from BobMcFly247, maybe try unplugging the Kinect and then using your Xbox to see if that makes any difference.

    Thanks for the help guys. When I got home from work today and turned on my xbox everything was working fine. I will keep both suggestions in mind in case it happens again. Thanks again.
