Black screen

Same problem here. I'll try to unplug the power as well. Let's hope we here something from XBox about this.

 

Getting same problem, sounds like the unplugging works. Will give it a try.

 

Thanks to all that was my next step in my troubleshooting process. Hard reset seems to do the trick.

 

Changed settings on power state and then removed power cord only on back of the box for 10 seconds and pugged it back into the box. It worked like a champ. Thanks moneyx, et al.

 

Shutting the unit off didn't help. Unplugging it did!

it has happened to me 3 times. everytime it happens i forget to turn off the xbox and the next morning cod goes black. to date everytime this happens i have reset my xbox under settings and storage but this is a long process as you have to reset and download
all your games on the one. luckily i only have ghosts for the time being. but if the unplugging thing works i will try that next time. and for now i have also turned off the kinect feature as it is a waist for me anyway. but resetting your xbox does work.

 

After reading above threads about unplugging everything to hard reset. All you need to do is hold the power button on the console till she shuts down. This will do the same thing. I had the black screen problem and this has fixed it without pulling everything
out. Hope this helps.
