Black Screen - Xbox Not Displaying on TV

    Black Screen - Xbox Not Displaying on TV


    I turned on my Xbox One today and it seems to power up, but it is not appearing on my TV. It's like the Xbox One is not sending anything via the HDMI. I've done a few Google searches trying to reset the Xbox One by unplugging, holding the button on the
    Xbox, etc, but no luck.

    Any assistance is appreciated.

    Xbox not getting a signal

    So my issue is my xbox is displaying the message that the signal to the tv box was lost. But it has been working all day. We just turned it off, left and came home and it's not recognizing it. But if we turn the tv receiver off it goes black but will say
    the channel and show that was on at the top of the screen.

    Im currently having a similar issue.

    When I say 'Xbox watch TV' from any xbox menu my TV goes black, as if its changing/reloading its HDMI input. After a few seconds the TV will come on, with a message in the top corner displaying the current HDMI input.

    What used to happen is that my xbox would just effortlessly display the TV, without any delay/reloading of the screen.

    Its super annoying.

    Hey there. You may have to get your console serviced, but first, try holding the Xbox logo for 10 seconds until it shuts down, wait a few seconds, then hold the Xbox logo and eject button simultaneously until it comes back on. This will boot it into a low
    resolution mode, which sometimes fixes this.

    I have also heard that every once in a while, if you flip the HDMI cable around, it can fix this (move the end that's in your TV to the console, vice versa). If none of that works, you will most likely need to send it in for repair.

    Xbox 360 Elite display issue.

    Yep. I set the console to 720p using the TV that works, and then tried it on the TV that doesn't. Now the TV detects the Xbox properly, but displays a black screen. The second TV that I tried it on is a plasma one.

    My Xbox One Isn't working properly.

    Same black screen. Power display shows on, my Tv HDMI input shows receiving signal but black screen on xbox. Home button shows it’s there and option to turn console off or controller off but that is all I can do. Smh !
