Black screen when switching on?

I'm using the supplied HDMI cable, but sometimes when i switch it one I just get a black screen....     Black screen when switching on?


    Hello, only just got the xbox for a birthday present.

    I'm using the supplied HDMI cable, but sometimes when i switch it one I just get a black screen. I have to switch it off, disconnect the HDMI cable from the back of the xbox and reconnect, then switch back on before i get a picture.

    Any ideas?

    I also noticed that I was getting more, and longer black screens when switching channels than before. Possibly due to input resolution changes? I.e switching from HD to SD channels.

    Black Screen after Green Screen after power up.

    Hi,

    The xbox one goes into a Black Screen after Green Screen after power up.

    Tried the power down, unplugging, waiting, switching cables, switching ports, switching TVs, etc.

    Nothing has worked, 10 days later nothing works.

    Any help would be great.

    Black screen when switching on?

    First off disconnect the power brick for about 5 minutes. This will clear the memory cache, which may cause the black screen. If this does not work try a different cable and then an other tv. It may be an issue with the hdmi handshake rather than the console.
    Hope some of this helps.

    Not working when I try with the buttons to reset it, still only green start screen then black, can also keep the controller button held in to bring up the switch controller off screen

    It only happens when the screen turns black for example during cutscenes and yes I switched cables I'm using the one that came with the xb1 now.

    It worked on the same screens and it didn't on the same.

    At least I can play.

    Could you also tell me why I get a black screen when I switch to 120hz while my monitor supports 144hz
