Black Screen When pressing Xbox Button

As I wrote earlier today. I have the same issue. I'm at my wits end with this system. From games quitting to home screen, to left stick breaking and now the black screen after the February patch. I'm really frustrated.

I have the same issues after playing a game. It's really annoying.

 

Katon, I was about to call it the black screen of death as well...it's driving me insane!!!

im having this same problem on battlefield 4 and i never used to have this problem at all before this last update bugs the hell out of me

 

Same issue here since the last update.

 

It just started happening to me, has happened 3 times now in a day.

After using xbox button, I also assumed it was the beta but it happened to me after call of duty

 

Perform a "soft reset" guys. This will address the black screen bug. Press and hold consoles power button for 8-10 seconds until it powers off. Wait 30 seconds, then press again to reboot. The green loading screen will stay up for a bit until the system
boots completely. Hopefully a patch is on the shortlist to fix this. If this happens again, this is your first line of defense.

 

I tried relying on voice command to go home, thus not pushing the button. I went several days without blackscreen, but today it also did it from voice command. Hope the patch is in the March update.

 

I've noticed this issue as of late as well. A hard reset hold downing the XBOX One button is the only way to resolve the issue. The problem seems to happen over multiple games on my system. I use a USB extender for my fight stick and always leave it plugged
in ever if the stick is not. Anyone else using any of the USB ports having this issue ? I also noticed another bug that mic of the wireless controller wouldn't detect until I rebooted the Xbox.

omg. I have this problem. I was playing thief and it just went BLACK. I thought it was just the game at first (It's a little dark sometimes...) but when I couldn't see the home screen or anything at all, I kindof panicked.

Please fix this!

 

just been playing AC4 and after leaving training session on multiplayer then back to front screen where you press 'a' - i told xbox to go home and the screen went black - a shutdown didn't resolve it, had to pull power - this is about 3 time had issue since
the last update

 

I have had the same issue multiple times. I agree with a lot of the posts of having to reset being a load of crap. We spend $500 on a system, and have to get up, hold power button and wait 30 secs because microsoft can't get it together. I understand they
are aware of the issue, but I have already taken one xbox back to the store and had to trade it in for a new one cause of another issue they are aware of. My Kinect decided one night it just didn't wanna work anymore and was saying I needed to plug it in,
well I unhooked it, rehooked it, did a full system reset, went into the settings of my kinect and it still showed it was *** up. I google this issue to find there are a ton of other ppl having the same problem, and microsoft is sending new kinects to replace.
This kind of stuff shouldn't be happening, especially since they are the ones that made the kinect in the first place. Just wanted to put my .02 cents in about the issue, and hope that it gets fixed soon, or the one will go back to the store for a trade in
