Black screen when attempting to load game

You need to uninstall the game, and then reinstall Overwatch. When you get the prompt that asks you to update, choose to finish later. Finish the install, and after that - download the update.

I don't think there's anything wrong with my Blu-Ray drive. I can load other physical games like AC: Black Flag without issue. It's only when I attempt to load MCC or a digital purchase like Spartan Assault or Crimson Dragon that the game won't make it past
the title screen or crashes as soon as it begins to load up.

I have a similar issue. For me when the game launches it either stays at a black screen or gets to a loading screen but never loads

I learned the hard way black screen doesn't mean dead. I kept resetting and attempting to bring up troubleshooter and corrupted the drive (errors 101,102,106,107) when all you have to do is wait I found if you leave the black screen for half hour or more troubleshooter would load and eventually OSU rebuilt the drive

During normal start up it will go to the green xbox screen with loading dots on the bottom then it will display a black screen. If the black screen is what your talking about give it a minute for the xbox logo to pop up. The console is loading the dashboard
when you see that screen.
