  1. Black screen upon starting games

For ALL of you who think there will be some sort of compensation for all of your lost time I am overjoyed to inform you that there will be no cookie at the end. I had this happen to me a year or so ago and I am moderately ticked off that I have to deal with
this bug yet again last time I lost around a month before it was fixed hopefully I wont lose that much time in the second round.

3 Days and not a single new statement? GJ Microsoft. I prefer Naughty Dog games over Halo anyway.

  10. I checked Xbox Live Status just now and it's been fixed. I got back to the Dashboard to do a test to load the game while still signed into Xbox Live and it works! ^^

Xbox is working again. Thank you all who worked on this solution but damn you guys need a REP to bounce in a deflate all the tension. Someone should make an appearance at minimum once a day just to sign off that the problem is being worked on and throw some
tech jargon at us so we feel some sort of effort is being shown. You tech guys are like ninjas with the silence. Take a cue from Major Nelson and make an effort to qualm bad publicity. I know that's a firing squad job to take, but hell, someones gotta man-up
and take the hits and deflect all the wrong answers and give solid intel. You guys went ghost and I for one dislike that kind of customer service. Lotta people went through hell for a few days all because you guys kept silent--no bueno. I feel bad for all
the people who accidently deleted profiles and lost all of their game saves and my heart goes out especiall to those that went out and bought a new hard drive/console for nothing! Microsoft next console should be called the "XBOX<3" because it should be all
about that one love feeling of blanketed protection. I invest in you and you invest in me. And please include a tech support button in the dashboard of the console. the damn things a computer anyways, why do I have to connect to this website...smh

This is great, seems to be resolved. Thanks for your hard work getting this fixed, Xbox Support.

As for those out there who are still whining about the fact that this happened and saying they want compensation, three things for you to consider:

    1) Technology fails sometimes. Deal with it. If you can't understand that simple fact, your life is going to be very, very difficult. Just be thankful this wasn't something serious like an extended power failure or a communications blackout. Consider what
it is you "lost", and compare it to something like that.

    2) Check this out:

    5. Services disruptions and backup

We strive to keep the Services up and running; however, all online services suffer occasional disruptions and outages, and Microsoft isn't liable for any disruption or loss you may suffer as a result. You should regularly backup the content that you store
on the Services. Having a regular backup plan and following it can help you prevent loss of your content.

Read your agreements. They said right there that this can happen, and they'll do what they can when it does, but they aren't liable for compensation.

    3) The value of what you lost works out to be approximately 65 cents. Your cost for the annual fee was 59.99. That means each day of Live is worth 59.99/365 days in a year, which is a little over 16 cents per day. The outage, if you include today (being
generous here, because it was resolved yesterday), was 4 days. 4 by 16 is 64, but the number is actually 16.4 cents per day, so let's round it to a nice 65. You want that cash or cheque?

It's remarkable to me how there's this over-inflated sense of entitlement about this kind of thing. Seriously, suck it up, be happy it's back online, and go play your games. Oh yes, and shut up about it. The folks at Microsoft knew there was a problem, they
followed their procedures, they found it, and they fixed it. They fulfilled their end of things. Now get on with your lives.

All you that cried like entitled babies should keep your mouths shut if something like this happens again. You couldn't even be patient for four days? Spoiled entitled brats. Thanks for getting this fixed Microsoft in what I feel was a pretty timely manner.

Yes, all you entitled babies should thank MS for allowing you to play on your system . They don't need to tell you what the problem was or even give you updates on the status you little peons. The 65 cents you lost is nothing to complain about. The 40 million
other Xbox Live Users lost the 65 cents also and Xbox deserves to keep the 26000000.00 you all lost together!
