    This only seems to occur when using the button. Using voice commands work fine. But the black screen persists until you unplug the console and let the power completely cycle. This is extremely annoying.

    Blu-ray question

    When I'm watching a Blu-ray and hit the home button to go back to the home screen, my screen goes black for a second or two. When watching DVDs or playing games the transition when pressing the home button is smooth.

    Does anyone else have this issue? Is it an HDMI handshake thing?

    Game screen is empty/black in main UI!

    Aside for UI slowdown and stuttering I have found that when I move from game to main UI by pressing home button my home screen shows black rectangle instead of game pause screen image. UI system should not be that buggy!!

    This is a known problem, which is going to be fixed (at least hopefully) in the March 4th update.

    As noted, the only solution right now is to do a hard reset. Instead of unplugging the console, hold the power button for around 5-10 seconds until you here a "click." Wait for the system to power down and the power brick color to turn amber. Now, turn the
    console back on.

    As I wrote earlier today. I have the same issue. I'm at my wits end with this system. From games quitting to home screen, to left stick breaking and now the black screen after the February patch. I'm really frustrated.

    Do you see anything at all when you press the white Home button on the controller? Sometimes when I start my Xbox One up, I get a black screen and I have to press the white Home button which will open the side bar menu. Then I press Home and it brings
    up the home screen. It's very strange but I get this black screen sometimes too.
