Black Screen on Video Playback (with audio)

Very recently (within the past month) I've run into an issue where my Xbox One will not play video on any app except the Youtube app. I've tried hard rebooting several times, unplugging all cables, and even a restore back to factory settings. I'm at my wits
end. Luckily my Xbox is under warranty for another month so I can send it in if I need to, but I'd like to avoid that if possible.

TV, Netflix, HBO Go, etc... do not work. I get a black screen every time. I have to hard reboot to get the screen back. If I just tell it to turn off, it comes back on with the black screen.

DVD Playback Issues, console or TV problem?

My 250GB Black XBox seems to be having DVD playback issues. When I'm watching DVDs, the screen will go black randomly, as though the console's AV cables were disconnected. The input settings on my TV also appear for a second as the screen comes back, which
is why it looks like something is getting disconnected. The black screen lasts for anywhere between a second to 3 or 4 and then the video will come back. During the black screen, the audio still plays, just the video flickers out. I've never had any DVD playback
issues before with my TV; I used to have a white Xbox and just bought this new one, so I'm not sure if it's the console.

Has anyone ever had this issue? The only thing I changed with this console is setting it to HD under system settings, would that have anything to do with DVD playback?

 

Video Playback Not Working. Mostly Green Screen With Heavy Pixelation.

Hi,

Video playback isn't working. All I see is a mostly green screen with heavy pixilation. Audio works fine.

This affects video playback in Amazon Instant Video, YouTube, ESPN (just video playback not the app bar, etc.).

This does not affect games so far (cut scenes in Forza and Ryse play without issue), does not affect the dashboard, or Live TV.

Anyone else having this issue? Any solution?

I saw a similar issue where power settings seemed to be messing this up. Can you please go to Settings > Power Settings > then select Energy Saving Mode. Turn your Xbox off, then turn it back on. Note that you'll need to start your Xbox via the console or
remote because Kinect won't be listening.
