    Black screen on startup


    My xbox gives me a black screen when powered on. I can hear the xbox logo screen then a couple minutes after I'll hear the dashboard screen noise when it first pops up. Still black screen. I attempted the fix where you hold the eject and power button and
    it worked one time. Obviously it happened again and this isn't fixing it now. I try to find out about a warranty and of course it's out of warranty, and I don't have 115$ laying around to get a refurbished one. Please help.

    Yes I have tried different hdmi cables, ports, even TVs. I've left it unplugged for days and nothing. I do not abuse my systems at all, Hell all my Nintendo's and PlayStations still work. First Xbox so I hope their support is good or they lost a customer.

    I thought the PS4 startup was just a white "PS4" on a black screen?

    Hmm, do other consoles/PCs display correctly with that HDMI Cable, on the same port, on the same TV?

    Hi, with the Xbox powered off press and hold both the bind button and eject button, press the power button once to power the Xbox on keeping bind and eject held, wait until you hear the second of two power on tones and you should get a troubleshooting screen
    open up.

    On that screen select the reset option, choose to keep your games & apps. When it's done you will need to do a few things such as adding your account back to the Xbox.

    Hopefully that will sort this out for you.

    the BIND button and any other button - doesn't help

    still black screen and the HDMI input is not recognized by my TV.

    ALL happened after I updated the system with the latest update

    When did it stop working? Was it in a update, or did it just stop working randomly? If it was in a update, maybe you could reverse it?

    Xbox support mentioned that they are aware of reports of Xbox One console startup, title update and sign-in errors. Our teams have identified the cause for our earlier issues and are continuing to address these now.
