Black screen of hopefully not death.

Every time I turn on my Xbox one it goes through the Xbox logo loading screen with a green back round. The loading screen looks like when you first start up a new console but then it just goes to a black screen after that. I've had this console about 3 months
and it has never done this. The problem has been going on for about two weeks, during this time I have tried everything I could think of. turning it off and on, detaching it from the brick and power cord for 30 seconds, unplugging everything and making sure
there wasn't any dust, then finally switching the two HDMI ports. nothing works and I think i'm going to get a new one with my insurance. Anyone have anything that might help?

BLACK SCREEN OF DEATH

it's cached all in the hhd have both dlc and it only freezes on a certain point .

try to finish up my dark brother hood quest but i can't seen to get pass the screen of death

the mission is called Death Incarnate , i'm on the part wher u have to get in to the coffin , as soon as i get in and the night lady finish talking it goes blank and stays blank

no screen shot no noise nothing but the black screen of death every time

so far i clear cached

re-download the game and updates

clearing cache worked

Have you tried the offline system update diagnostic tool? Here is the link to the instructions:

This happened to my son recently - the Xbox (6 mths old) was working fine in the morning but just gave the black screen after the green boot up screen in the evening. We tried the power down scenario several times and then Microsoft emailed me over the instructions
and link for the system update diagnostic - that froze at about 75% for nearly an hour so we had to do the system restore. Son is gutted as he has lost his story mode in gta after 5 mths work but hopefully once he installs all games etc again it will be ok
except for that. Not impressed but a quicker solution to sending it off and Microsoft wiping it anyway. I haven't found any other solution. Good luck.
