    Hi,

    Thursday night i downloaded and signed up for the preview update. It said 48 hours or whatever which was fine. After this my X1 froze and i thought nothing of it.

    Then Yesterday when trying to load my X1, i get the initial xbox logo then just a black screen, i have contacted support via twitter who suggested various things. (Yes i have power cycled, yes i have unplugged everything, yes i have started in low res mode).
    Supports final suggestion was to post on the preview forums which obviously I dont have access to yet, as i havent even been accepted for it yet.

    Where can i go from here? As quite frankly it seems i have tried everything and im now sat here with a £430 useless brick.

    My xbox won't show my home screen it just turns on to the green screen and goes black. I tried a cold boot and resetting my display settings

    Does no one play for fun anymore?

    The best way to get a casual gaming experience is honestly split screen against AI, because then you have someone else to play with you and the AI are often not that difficult. Though older games can often be more fun, I really like COD black ops 2 because
    with bots and up to 4 player split screen it is a really fun experience.

    Is split-screen mode/feature going to be phased out eventually?

    I went home 2 years ago and my friend has a huge tv. One night a bunch of us just chilled at his house with some beers and played Black Op zombies split screen. It was fun as hell.

    Video proof...or it didn't happen.

    People who claim to see black screens can't tell the difference between a real black screen and a lag black screen.

    Just because you get a black screen, doesn't man that better players get black screens.

    Maybe you get a black screen because you can't play as well as you think you can.

    I've olny ever seen a black screen once and that was ages ago when the game was newly released.

    343/Microsoft will detect black screens and ban them.

    Black screens are only seen from your xbox's point of view.
