    Black Screen of Death...This is why I swore I'd never own Microsoft again.


    I have tried all troubleshooting efforts. Resorted to the offline update option. After a 40 minute download of the zip file, formatting the USB, and copying everything to the USB, the XBOX will not give me two startup chirps when I am holding the BIND
    and EJECT buttons. Once I let go, it will try to start up as usual. Once on the black screen, an alert comes up that says my external media is ready and hold the center X button on the controller. When I do, it simply brings up the power down console and
    controller menu.

    Practically spent about 4 days trying to play my Xbox One, I had the black screen of death, finally got past it with factory default then I had to install my Fifa 16 which was another epic and now it is syncing data for Fifa 16 which seems to be stuck on
    81%. This Microsoft stuff is seriously [Mod Removed] me off, everything there is has a something of death or fails this. Tell ya what I will never be with microsoft again......oh and how often is Xbox Live

    SO SICK OF XBOX LIVE AND XBOX ONE PROBLEMS !

    Thank you so much! I was worried I'd have to take apart or scrap my xbox after I experienced the black screen of death. I did the steps you provided for a factory reset and it works again!

    This literally just happened to me about 5 minutes ago. I installed MK X last night, played it for about an hour or 2. Played it tonight for about the same time. Then it would freeze on this story mode cutscene, every single time. So I'd exit out and go
