Black Screen of Death after start up

My Xbox One has been experiencing a black screen bug after I turn on the console. The xbox turns on and shows a green screen with the logo and three dots that load for a couple seconds, but then it goes to a black screen. I have tried power-cycling it,
switching HDMI cords and ports, waiting 30 minutes to see if it turns on, leaving it unplugged overnight, and trying without the network on, but no solution seems to fix it. My xbox one was working perfectly fine other than not connecting to live Christmas
morning, but later that day the black screen but started to appear. My brother and I tried numerous times to fix it and researched possible solutions, but none fixed it. One time the console randomly worked and I was able to play for a dew hours connected
to live, but after turning off my console because Netflix was freezing, the bug appeared again and hasn't worked since. Any solution or advice to solve this problem would be very helpful.

    :)

Black screen after start up screen?

I tried everything when this happened to me and then I tried the last step which was to reload the last software update with usb flash drive. If you've tried everything then XBOX support told me either to send it in to them or take it back to the point
of purchase. I just took it back because I'm not waiting up to 7 weeks to get my Xbox One replaced. Hope the best for you and your replacement if needed.

Black screen after start up screen?

Turned on my Xbox one this morning to discover that after the start up screen the console continues to run but the screen is black. Tried a hard restart tried leaving it for hours, nothing works. Anyone got the same issue or a solution?

I have a very similar problem except for the fact my console doesn't even show the green screen and logo.

I am having the same problems as well and it is just after happening yesterday.

Have been getting major framerate drops lately in games and now it does exactly the same thing.

Love the xbox but have had nothing but hardware issues with it and its controllers.

  7. Hello! You may be experiencing an update or system corruption issues if the screen is solid black. If the screen is black with the Xbox logo in the top right, you may just need a hard reset. Try these steps first...

    1. Ensure no discs are in the tray

    2. Hold the power button for 8 seconds until the console fully shuts down

    3. Ensure all USB devices are unplugged from the console

    4. Unplug the Xbox One power supply from your wall outlet for 30 seconds

    5. Plug the console back in, and attempt to power it on

If this does not work, leave your console at the black screen to see if an error message eventually occurs. If you receive E303 or E305, or if you were in the middle of an update and your Xbox shut down while updating you may need to use the Xbox One Offline
System Update Diagnostic Tool: Xbox One System Updates | Offline System Updates

This consists of formatting a flash drive of 2GB or more to NTFS, downloading the OSUDT file that fits your scenario, extract the OSUDT .zip to your flash drive, plugging the flash drive into your console and holding the BIND and EJECT buttons while the
console starts up to for it to update via USB. These are really vague steps, so you will want to visit the link above to get fully detailed steps on how to complete this process.

If the Offline Update does not resolve your issue, you may need to look at getting a repair.

Black screen after start up screen?

Eject any Discs in the xbox tray.

You can try and reset the HDMI settings by powering off with the hard power off.

When its turned off, press the power and eject button at the same time, until you hear the on beep.

Then you should be able to navigate to settings and display and sound.

Try like 720p, And other RGB Settings. Until you find something that works for you.

Let me know if that works.
