Black screen from new update

okay so I just updated my console and it turns on but instantly signs me out and stays black screen for what is supposed to be the home screen. When I push the guide button on my controller nothing happens. No popup. Nothing. The screen turns a slightly
greyer for a second then back to black. When I hold my guide button the turn Xbox turn controller screen pops up but that is it. I am connected to WiFi also. If that means anything.

Help please.

I´v got the same problem on my Xbox one s 2tb. if i connect to the console with Xbox smartscreen from win10 or android i can start apps on the Xbox, but Edge is the onky app working at the moment, all else gives black screen

 

I am dealing with the same problem as well, I tried rebooting the console: didnt work. I unplugged it from the power brick: didnt work. I connected from my laptop and it seems to start streaming but nothing shows up on my tv. resetted my tv settings: didnt
work.

I am out of ideas. Please help!!!

 

HI, it has been something of a known issue, it can be fixed by performing a factory reset using the troubleshooter on boot up.

If there is a disc in the drive eject it. Power off your Xbox by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds and then unplug the power cord from the rear of the Xbox to ensure that the console is completely powered off. Wait 30 seconds. After that
30 seconds is up plug the power cord back in but do not power the Xbox on.

You'll need to be sure you know your account login details, your network password if required and the location of the bind or as it's also know the sync button on the Xbox, that's the button you'd use to sync a controller to the XBox.

With the Xbox powered off, press and hold the SYNC button and the DISC EJECT button and then press the Xbox power button once on the console, do not hold the Xbox power button. Continue holding the SYNC and DISC EJECT buttons. Shortly a troubleshooting screen
will appear you can then let go of the buttons.

Power your Xbox controller on and using the Dpad and A select the Reset Console option and then the option to keep games & apps.

The Xbox will reset to factory defaults, it may also update again. When that's done follow the on screen prompts to complete setup and you should be good to go.

Take care when adding your account to the Xbox. do not select the Get a new account option under any circumstances.

If the troubleshooter doesn't come up first time then power off and try again, it should appear within around 20 seconds or so of pressing the power button on the Xbox.
