Black screen for 10 min. after green logo, also with low-res mode.

My X1 is having the black screen problem, started today. The home screen froze after trying to uninstall "Twitch" app, and once I hard-reset the machine it's only showing the black screen. When doing the low res mode trouble shoot option, it's taking it
10 min. to boot, but once it does I can see picture and navigate.

Tried powering off completely and now the X1 can boot, but only after 10-15 min with the black screen... I can navigate the home screen.

Problem is, I can't currently send the machine back to MS, so I would really love to get some help with fixing it...

Will a hard factory reset solve it ? Will using the Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool help ? I don't mind doing these two, I just wanted to double check before I do that it's OK to do so...

Note: I'm part of the preview program, currently running the latest 1407 build (the RTM one).

Xbox One Boots up to green screen then goes black

I did the system update last night, it rebooted and I played dragon age inquisition last night until almost midnight no problems. I put in a DVD this morning for the kids and it turned on, played a noise, got to the green xbox one screen and then after
about 2 min of that went to a black screen. The system is on, it's displaying nothing. I ejected the DVD and it didn't fix it. I cold booted it, not fixed. I unplugged the brick and plugged it back in, not fixed. I booted it into low res mode, the green
screen is now in low res but it still goes to black screen. What else can I do?

 

xbox 1 running slow

HI, after last update my xbox is running exetremely slow. In normal mode it won't start even after waiting 1,5 hour at green screen. It only starts in low res mode and still takes more then 10 min. I tried everything form support page like cleaning cache
restarting cycles or even restoring xbox fo factory settings. What can i do to fix it?

 

Either one of those may work, but I would suggest starting with the OSUDT (specifically the OSUDT2) option before trying a full restore. The OSUDT option will just reinstall you to the most recent release version of the OS, and not delete your games and
apps. You may want to post this up on the preview forums as well, if you haven't already.

I've downloaded the OSUDT2 zip file, will try to use this.

From my understanding that OSUDT is the more "hard core" fix, no ? but from what you wrote it looks like it's the other way around... So, if the OSUDT method won't fix it, than I should try the "Factory Reset" method from within the OS ? or is it the same
as using OSUDT1 ?

No, resetting the system back to factory defaults will delete everything but the system updates from your console. So you'll have to redownload your profile, reinstall your games and apps, and resync all your games with your save files with the cloud before
you're back to square one.

OSUDT can be viewed as "hardcore" because it's a little more technically intensive and time intensive, but as far as far reaching ramifications, doing a system restore is going to cost you a lot more time.
