And as Long xbox one has no 4K HDMI cable should never be the Problem, except it is loose-contact.

But I tried diffrent. and my PS 3 (BlueRay Player) has no Problems.

I really don^t like to say that, but I am thinking on switching my System to PS4, or a Steambox...

But before I will give it 1 try for a advanced Exchange, as soon I get a valid CreditCard.

They use the same output type from AMD technology. HDMI is a standard, but I have seen really many problems like this one with many kind of devices. You can specify a standard, but seems each manufacturer tweaks it or something (see that each one has its
own HDMI-CEC). If you compare, this problem is only for old TVs, those not compatible with HDMI 1.4.

When searching for the problem, much earlier than with Xbox One, the solution was always the same, the problem is due to "data bandwidth", and because that I suggested a better and faster cable.

 

I went down the advanced exchange route at the start and had two Ones running and both were flashing.

For me, the issue is definitely TV, it flashes on DVD, laptop and XBox feeds, but a second TV in the house is fine.

To cure my issue for XBox One I changed video out to DVI in settings menu and listen to sound via headphone adaptor now (as suggested by Huggs1 on page 3). Not a huge problem as I only get TV access once SWMBO has finished with it so headphones means I can
crank up the volume

DVD player still won't play without issues so I've transferred my wife's pilates DVDs to iPad and she watches those via 30 pin/composite lead.

The only thing that works with our TV is the Sky box, and that's about 4 years old - It's an early HD box, without wifi.

This cable solved all my problems. Problem was gone right away! Never thought it would work... but it does. Don't know why but if anyone has this problem try to buy/get that cable anywhere. Finally I can play!

 

I've been having this same problem since the last update, and I'm using HDMI straight to a Sony 55es projector. Not only has the screen been cutting to black, but a blue line randomly flicks when using the dashboard.

 

Latelly, since last update, I have this issue frequently.

It's really frustrating and I can see any light from MS here... T_T

 

i have a Sony bravia 4 years old. I get the same, black flashes every few mins, when playing xb1. It also happened with my Xbox 360 e but surprisingly not with the old style Xbox. Definitely a tv issue

 

Hi, if you are facing this issue and a HDMI High Speed cable doesn't fix it, try to set the output manually at 720p. I have seen a multi-function device (sound bar + Tv tuner HD + DVD) that flickered much and when changed output to 720p it worked like a
charm. When there is a problem in HDMI negotiation, doing it at 720p usually is better.

I know is not the best solution, but at least you can use your devices without spending your money (which can be done anytime) in a new display, which would be better the more time you wait for purchasing a new one.

As RougueBeerMatt said, go to settings and change the TV connection setting to DVI. You will then need to change the resolution setting back to 1080p. This completely stops the random black screens. As has already been stated this will also stop sound going
through the HDMI lead so it will only be helpful if you connect your Xbox One to an amplifier with an optical digital cable. For anyone that relies on their TV speakers for their sound there is a relatively cheap way around this that will be much cheaper than
buying a new TV and that is to purchase a soundbar. Even a very cheap one will give you much better sound quality than your TV speakers, however, it WILL NEED to have an optical input to connect the Xbox One to. I agree that no one should have to upgrade their
set up to use their new Xbox One. I was at the point where I was going to buy a new TV which I really didn't want to do as my current TV, a PHILIPS, (surprise surprise) is top end and cost me a lot of money.

 

I have testet now with a borrowed BenQ GL 2420...

with this Screen i get no Blackscreens at all.. (After 6 days of testing)

MY THOUGHT:

the Result is that some TV`s are not compatible with the XB1..

I don^t know why. is it a Special HDMI Signal coming from XB1?

Or are our 20 various TV^s not real Full HD- HDMI Screens?

If it would be just one single TV-Brand or just one Typ of TV with Problems it would be okay...

But what we see here is that there were Sony`s, Philips, Vizio`s, Samsungs, LG`s.

MS could you please Help our TV-Manufacturer to built a Software Update for proper HDMI`ing??

I can not afford another TV.. mine is still listed for over 1000.- (Philips 42PFL6805h/12)

We totally Need some SUPPORT up in here!!

 

Tell us how we should know which TV is good if the tech specs are lying..

The TV I got has all required stuff to be compatible with XB1.

If I would how should I know wich TV when we can^t trust the specs..

So who is lying the TV specs or is the xbox one sending a wrong Signal...

I have no desire to waste my money.
