    Black screen causing issues with my TV


    My son recently did an update on his XBox 1 S. within a day of doing the update the television it was being used with started having a black screen and turning itself off. Now the TV doesn't work at all. I thought it was because it was an older TV and it
    had just died on it's own. My son then brought the XBox down to my new TV and on the same day it made my Samsung TV have a black screen and turns itself off. I made my son unplug everything from the TV regarding the XBox but now my TV still turns itself off....I
    feel as if the common denominator is the XBox 1S. Can anyone help me with this?!

    XBox One: Screen turns black / loses sound for 1-2 seconds while Game / Video continues playing in background

    I'm having a similar issue to this, my box boots through the green animation screen, then goes to a black screen, HDMI cables and TV are fine, not sure what is causing the issue.

    Issues with Xbox Live

    My screen is all black last I tried to turn on my Xbox to watch some TV, I'm guessing Xbox Live is the reason? I can't even see the home screen, just a black screen. It's weird cause the green popup signed me in when I was in front of Kinect and I use my voice but outside of the green popups I've got nothing but a black screen.

    I'm having the same issue on Windows 11 Xbox App, tried everything that people said here, but still black screen after the spaceship. Streaming works fine on my iPhone. Something curious is that even if its a black screen I can still hear the xbox sounds and games, but only the black screen is the issue...
    Yep. Seems to be a widespread problem. The only solution is to turn your TV on before streaming. If the TV is on it works flawless.

    I really hope they come out with a fix because I don't want to have my TV on when I stream remotely. Defeats the purpose.

    I made a mistake, I have posted to the correct forum.

    This isn't a "black screen" issue, my TV is stating "No Signal Found" such as it would if the TV box was off.

    Again, my Vizio TV is displaying "No Signal Found" box.

    As the suggestions posted are all great ones. You can also try the troubleshooting for a black screen. Sometimes it is the system files that are causing this. Here is the guide for
