Black screen but X button menu?

After start up, nothing come out until press the X button, after login, nothing shows up but pressing the X to call the menu out, except running game or entering setting, every function ends up as black screen.

Battlefield 3 Beta : black screen on startup

I downloaded Battlefield 3 beta, my friends were all playing it and when I press play game the screen just turns black and stays black. I'm able to press the home button (center X button) and go back to dashboard. I tried redownloading it three times.

Cant launch anything but a game on Xbox One

You try to press buttons at the black screen? Listen to see if u hear any noise like your navigating but your screen is black.

Hi

When you press the Xbox Button and the guide appear can you please select the right hand settings tab and select the option to restart the console to see if this resolves your problem.

I'm sorry to hear that. You can keep on trying this step.

So the first thing we need to do is check and see if you can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Try doing this for me:

Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in. Press and hold the SYNC button (located on the left side of the console) and the EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button on the console. Continue holding the SYNC and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the SYNC and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

When the console powers up, you will see the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Please select reset then keep games and apps. No worries, no games will be removed, just sign back in using the right account.

Is it just a black screen that you get? Not sure if it's the same issue, but I get this sometimes as well. The way that I get around it is that it will still let me press the Home button on the controller, which will bring up the side bar menu on the left
side of the screen, over the black screen. I'll then select Home from the menu, and it will freshly load the Home screen on the Xbox and there is no more black screen. Hopefully that works for you as well.

I have found a way to correct the situation temporarily. If the base screen starts going black then press the XBox button. This will bring up a menu and the base screen will return.

But if you exit out at this point the screen goes dark again. So, you have to use the menu to scroll down to State of Decay 2. Press the button with three lines. Pick manage game. At this point you should be able to back out of all menus and the base screen
will remain.

I just got one engraved with my gamertag and it is showdown brnoze color with black and tan with white A,B,X,Y and menu and window buttons.
