Black screen and menu button not working

I was using my Xbox one yesterday with no issue.

Today I turned it on and it went to the green splash screen, I got the blue pop up showing I was signed in to my account, then the screen went black.

Menu button on remote does not bring up the menu, it will bring up the shut down prompts if I hold it in for a few seconds.

I have tried the hard reset by holdding in the power and then holding in the eject and power,

I have tried the hard reset and unplug for 5 minutes, neither work.

So the first thing we need to do is check and see if you can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Try doing this for me:

Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in. Press and hold the SYNC button (located on the left side of the console) and the EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button on the console. Continue holding the SYNC and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the SYNC and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

When the console powers up, you will see the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Please select reset then keep games and apps. No worries, no games will be removed, just sign back in using the right account.

Is it just a black screen that you get? Not sure if it's the same issue, but I get this sometimes as well. The way that I get around it is that it will still let me press the Home button on the controller, which will bring up the side bar menu on the left
side of the screen, over the black screen. I'll then select Home from the menu, and it will freshly load the Home screen on the Xbox and there is no more black screen. Hopefully that works for you as well.

When you press the Xbox Button and the guide appear can you please select the right hand settings tab and select the option to restart the console to see if this resolves your problem.

My Xbox one S cannot play all my UHD now. Once I inserted the disc, the screen stayed in black all the time. When I pressed button to exit the disc, the screen still remained black without going back to the main menu of Xbox. 1080P discs worked fine.

After the initial loading screen image it goes black, no other menus or anything pops up just a black screen. All other games are working fine.
